Teaching Cats Good Behavior

Are you a Cat Lover? Some of the best people in the world are.

Cats make great companions. You can have a great relationship with your cat by learning more about him/her.

Cat's find the best places in the house to take a nap or just relax and look out the window.

Some things that don't work when teaching your cat:

Scolding and punishing does NOT work for cats ...and it can make your cat even harder to train! Most people who have cats learn this very quickly.

You can tell your cat that they must only stay outside a little while and they will do just that. It is important to talk to your cat.

Litter training methods (like scolding, "catching them in the act", rubbing their nose in it) ...and other methods often backfire with cats!

Cats can become attached to certain blankets, certain toys, and carry them around just like little children do.

Cat's can be trained to do just about anything, and it's easy to bond with them in new, deeper ways if you know how.

You can really become attached to a cat. A cat will tell you when it is time to go to bed, when you should feed it, and a cat can act as a first alert to let you know when someone is coming to the door -- way before they ring the door bell.
